Easy way to see Istanbul

My friend told me about the Istanbul E-pass so I got the 5 Day one. It was super easy to use on my phone. We did the Hagia Sophia Guided Tour and also the Bosphorus Dinner Cruise, which was fun. Didn't have to fuss with tickets at each place. Overall, a really smooth trip.

Good value for a short trip

I grabbed the 2 Day Istanbul E-pass for my quick visit. I compared prices and this looked like the best deal for hitting the main spots without breaking the bank. The discount I found made it even better. Saved a good amount compared to buying tickets individually, so it felt like money well spent.

Decent experience, app could improve

I bought the 3 Day Istanbul E-pass for my trip last month. The guided tours for places like Topkapi Palace were great, the guides were really knowledgeable. Skipping lines was a huge plus, especially at the Basilica Cistern. The app worked for most things, but it was a bit slow to load sometimes when I was trying to find attraction info quickly. Also, booking some tours was a little confusing at first. Overall though, it saved me time and probably some cash.

Does the E-pass actually let you skip lines at places like Hagia Sophia or Blue Mosque? Or is it more of a 'guided tour' queue, which can still be long?

I Ivy N. 2 months ago
For Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque it's more like joining their guided tour group, which usually has a faster entry than the general public line. Not quite 'skip everything' but still better.

Yep, my experience was definitely faster than the regular queue. Especially useful during peak times.

Hey guys, thinking about getting the 5-day pass for my trip. Are there usually any discount codes floating around for these or am I out of luck?

C Colin 1 month ago
Yeah, I always see them. Check for seasonal sales or just do a quick google for 'Istanbul E-pass promo code'. Got 10% off last time.

Sometimes they have student discounts too, if that applies to you. Worth a look.

Planning a trip next month, thinking about getting the E-pass. How does making reservations for tours work? Is it all through the app or do you have to call places?

N Nina Q. 2 months ago
Most of it is through their app or website, super easy. They give you instructions for each tour, usually just pick a time slot. Some might be walk-up but the popular ones need booking.

I just used the app, it was pretty straightforward to book the times for the guided tours. Made planning way simpler.

Can I use multiple discount codes for this E-pass? Like, if I find a 10% off and then a student discount?

R Ryan 2 months ago
Nah, pretty sure it's one code per order. That's how it usually works for these things.

Yeah, I tried combining a couple last year and it wouldn't let me. Pick the best one you can find.

Is the Istanbul E-pass actually worth it? Or am I better off just buying tickets for each place separately? Heard mixed things about these city passes.

N Neil 2 months ago
Totally depends on how much you plan to do. If you hit like 3-4 major spots a day, it adds up fast and the pass saves you a ton. Plus, skip-the-line is a lifesaver.

I think it's good if you want to see a lot and not stress about individual tickets. For just a couple of things, probably not.

Is the Basilica Cistern entry covered in the pass? That's one of the main things I want to see.

P Priya Z. 2 months ago
Yup, Basilica Cistern is definitely on there with a guided tour. I went through it with my E-pass.

Can confirm, it's included. One of the best parts too!

Heard about the Museum Pass Istanbul too. Which one's better? E-pass or that one?

J Julia Torres 2 months ago
They're kinda different. Museum Pass is mostly just museums. E-pass has a lot more guided tours and other attractions like the Bosphorus cruise or Whirling Dervishes. Depends on what you wanna do.

E-pass is more comprehensive for sure if you want a mix of everything. Museum Pass is cheaper if you're only into history stuff.
